Server Sage — Discord bot for Quaver communities

These Terms govern your use of the Server Sage Discord bot (“the Bot”, “we”, “our”). By adding the Bot to a Discord server, using its commands, or linking your Quaver account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

1. What the Bot does

Server Sage is a Discord bot for Quaver rhythm-game communities. It provides:

• Quaver account linking and profile lookups
• Automatic score tracking and play-session summaries
• Daily clan-ranked map challenges, points, streaks, and medal roles
• Clan activity tracking (first-place gains and losses, membership changes)
• Server moderation tools, including mutes, bulk message deletion, moderation history, and message edit/delete logging

Features are enabled per-server by that server’s staff.

2. Not affiliated with Quaver or Discord

Server Sage is an independent, community-run project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Quaver, the Quaver Team, or Discord Inc. All Quaver game data is retrieved from Quaver’s public API and remains the property of its respective owners. “Quaver” and related marks belong to their owners.

3. Eligibility

You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement (13, or higher where local law requires) and comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Your use of the Bot is additionally subject to Quaver’s own terms where it touches Quaver data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Bot to harass, abuse, threaten, or target any person
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot, its database, or its host
• Abuse, spam, or deliberately overload the Bot’s commands or the Quaver API through it
• Exploit bugs rather than reporting them, or manipulate clan points, streaks, or leaderboards through cheating, score falsification, or alternate accounts
• Use the Bot to break Discord’s or Quaver’s terms
• Reverse engineer the Bot to obtain credentials or bypass its permission checks

We may restrict or remove access for anyone who violates these rules, with or without notice.

5. Server staff responsibilities

If you add the Bot to a server or configure it, you are responsible for:

• Having authority to add and configure bots in that server
• Assigning permission roles (Keeper, Officer) responsibly — these grant access to administrative and moderation commands, including bulk message deletion and mutes
• Disclosing message logging to your members. If you configure a message-log channel, the Bot relays deleted and edited message content into it. You are responsible for notifying your members and for complying with any privacy laws that apply to your community.
• Moderation decisions made using the Bot. Mutes, bans, deletions, and their stated reasons are your community’s actions, not ours. The Bot is a tool; it does not review or endorse how it is used.
• Content posted in your server, including anything the Bot relays into it

6. Availability

The Bot is provided free of charge and on a best-effort basis. We make no guarantee of uptime, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature — or the Bot entirely — at any time and without notice. The Bot depends on Discord and on Quaver’s public API; outages, rate limits, or breaking changes in either can degrade or interrupt functionality outside our control.

Data loss is possible. Do not treat the Bot as a system of record for anything you cannot afford to lose.

7. No warranty

THE BOT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that displayed statistics are accurate or current.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR COMMUNITY STANDING, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO your use of or inability to use the Bot; any moderation action taken through it; inaccurate or lost statistics, points, streaks, or roles; or unauthorized access to your data.

Because the Bot is provided free of charge, the operator’s total aggregate liability arising from these Terms shall not exceed USD $0, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Bot is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which describes what data is collected and how it is handled.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server or requesting that your account be unlinked. We may terminate or restrict access to the Bot, for any user or any server, at any time and for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

On removal from a server, that server’s configuration and mute records are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Bot evolves. Material changes will be announced through the Bot’s support server or its repository. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
